The New Castle Nightbird is a fearsome creature said to rise from the muddy banks of Battery Park under the cover of darkness, its unearthly screech heralding chaos! With a wingspan wide enough to blot out a full moon, it swoops through the New Castle Farmers Market, scattering bootleg DVDs, pilfered power tools, and crates of expired produce in its wake!
Vendors and patrons alike cower as its talons rake across makeshift tables, leaving behind only terror and toppled wares. Along the Route 9 corridor, sightings of the Nightbird are chillingly frequent.
Bassin Road Betty, a local legend in her own right, swears, “Yeah, I seent him – big as a dumpster and meaner than a bag of wet cat shit!”
